January 14th

Picture-A-Day:

today was my most productive day all week, by far. i just have to brag a teeny little bit. here's everything i did today:

~made granola
~fed, diapered, bathed, and dressed kids
~swept and mopped floors
~fed kids again
~sorted out billing issue with our internet service company
~fed kids again
~went grocery shopping and ran a few other errands (bank, other bank, and 3 different stores - took THREE HOURS!)
(thank God I had a friend come watch the kids and didn't have to drag them all over the world with me)
~fed kids again
~unloaded and put away groceries (no small feat - we're talking 2 weeks worth of food for 7 people - that's a lot of food!)
~made dinner
~ate dinner (and of course, fed the kids!)
~cleaned up dinner
~emptied clean dishwasher, reloaded with dirties
~pj'd 4 kids, cuddled, read a book
~helped kids brush teeth and get ready for bed
~put kids to bed
~folded 5 loads of laundry while watching a DVR'd episode of Glee. Also finished my last bit of Oliver.
~talked to my bro on the phone
~uploaded the 92 pictures i somehow managed to take in the midst of all the craziness
(most of them were similar to the wine glass pic above - oh, i was also playing with camera settings, so i took a million of the same shot on different settings and with different lighting.)

And here I am, posting this braggy post about how much of a supermom I am today. Mind you, it's only for today. Since I got EVERYTHING done today, I should really be able to relax tomorrow, right? HA HA HA HA... relax? What's that? So to anybody out there who still thinks that Stay-At-Home-Mom's sit around and eat bon bon's all day, you're wrong. Every now and then we get motivated and actually get some things accomplished. The rest of the time, take out a few of the chores listed above, add a few poopy diaper changes, a few loads of laundry, and a little cleaning of the shaving cream that the kids squirted around in the bathroom (oh yeah, that happened to day too - that was funny), aaaaand, still no time for sitting around eating bon bon's. I do admit, in between tasks you'll find me clicking on the little red bubble at the top of my Facebook page to see who's commenting on my status. So if you think I'm sitting here on Facebook all day, you're wrong. I'm logged in, I'm periodically looking, but I'm definitely not sitting.

Have I mentioned I'm falling in love with the DVR? I know it's old news, but we just got one a few months ago. I just program it to record every show I like, and whenever I want to, I can just watch whatever show I like! No more channel surfing for me, baby. Channel surfing drives me crazy. I just don't understand why we settle for watching the most tolerable thing we can find, even if we don't really like it.

Well, whew, I'm exhausted from thinking about everything I did today! I'm off to bed. Hope I didn't bore you too much with my rant. I don't know, I've been in a writing mood lately. I really have, I just don't have much time to really do it. I guess it just came spilling out tonight. Hope I don't regret it in the morning. Thanks for sticking it out til the bitter end. I'm really going to bed now.
