Thursday. 4.21.11. Mmmm... still really enjoying the espresso maker Derrick got me for my birthday. I was pretty happy he gave it to me early, so I had my technique perfected in time for a party-filled weekend. This is an iced latte I made on Thursday when it was nice and sunny outside.

Friday. 4.22.11. Green potatoes??? I got out this bag of potatoes and started washing them, to find that the skins were all green! We googled "green potatoes," and found out they're supposedly poisonous. I guess you'd have to ingest a LOT of the green stuff to be affected, but we didn't risk it. We threw them out, then had to run to the store to get new potatoes. Turns out the green tint on the skin is caused by exposure to light. Guess that's why you're supposed to store potatoes in the basement. I had them out on the kitchen counter.

Saturday. 4.23.11. This is my dad on Derrick's new motorcycle. He got the bike a few weeks ago, but the weather's been so crappy, he's hardly had a chance to ride it. My dad used to be a biker-guy, but in all my life, this is the first time I've ever seen him on one!

Sunday. 4.24.11. Easter. My 33rd birthday. I usually have yellow cake with chocolate frosting and sprinkles for my birthday. I decided I wanted cheesecake this year. I LOVE cheesecake! I found this variety pack at GFS for $9.99! I thought that was a total steal. I'll be back for more, I promise you that. Also I did some photo editing on "picnik." Pretty cool, if I do say so myself. Maybe I could make this one into a birthday card?

We had a VERY busy weekend, took LOTS of pictures, and I will be sharing more soon.
