Last Friday we declared the Friday of the weekend before Halloween as Pumpkin Day.
We started by going to the pumpkin patch and picking out our pumpkins.
(those pictures are on the other computer, so I'll have to post them another time)
We came home and took naps, then after dinner we had family pumpkin carving.
Followed by pumpkin pie and hot apple cider.
Pumpkin Day was a total success.
Everybody had a great time, and we had lots of fun building memories together as a family.
Pumpkin Day is a tradition we hope to keep going.
And maybe someday our kids will pass Pumpkin Day on to their families.
That's so cute that J was spooning out his own seeds...did you bake the seeds too? We did..our pumpkin day has been spread out over 3 days so far, I'm hoping to bake the pie and bake the 2nd set of seeds this afternoon...I asked jake if he wanted to make this a tradition, he said, let's play it by ear. Fun times. cute creations..
