Family Road Trip (part 3.5)

Oops, I skipped a day. This one should go between parts 3 and 4, it's our 2nd day camping in the Rockies. Every day we were in Colorado it was sunny and beautiful in the morning, until mid to late afternoon. Then the clouds would start to roll in, and every afternooon/evening it rained.

It rained hard the first 2 nights we camped, so we had to get everything dried in the morning sun.

Since the previous day's hike was SO crowded, we decided to check out a trail right outside our campground. It was a fairly short hike, but quite steep. It took us a while to get to where we stopped. The scenery was gorgeous, and it was very peaceful, because there were hardly any other hikers. I think we all agreed this hike was nicer than the day before.

Here comes the rain again...

Since it rained every evening, we ended up eating dinner out more often than we planned.
This was a cute little place in the busy tourist town of Estes Park.
