Productive Weekend

We got a LOT done this past 3-day holiday weekend.
I had a list of household projects I wanted to get done. NONE of them got done. My husband had a different list in mind. I'm ok with it. I'm just happy SOMETHING got done:

Derrick cleaned out the garage. Seriously, you can now walk in the door without tripping over piles and piles of clutter. I'm very excited about that project.

He also started the job of replacing glass in two windows that have gotten broken recently. It's been one of those jobs that just haven't gone smoothly, so it didn't get finished. One of the pieces of glass wasn't cut the right size, so it meant an extra trip to the hardware store. Things like that.

I finally finished the 7-year rocking chair. It was in the garage, so with Derrick cleaning out, it kind of inspired me to get going on it. Or, more precisely, he said "Jeannine, I want to get that furniture out of the garage. What do you want me to do with it?"

Besides those major projects, we went to 3 parties. Yeah, THREE parties in one weekend! Two on Sunday, and one on Monday. And they were pretty much all the same people! Weird. We had a really great time hanging out with friends. And it was so nice to have that extra day - that's how we were able to get so many things done.

Well, baby's crying, gotta run. Guess that means no nap for me today. As soon as the girls went down, the baby woke up. Gotta love that.
