Christmas Cookies

I have been in SUCH a baking mood! Last week we had our usual Thursday play date. Our friends came over and we baked Gingerbread cookies (from a box kit). Honestly, the cookies weren't very good, but it was a good, easy to get the kids into the baking experience without creating too much chaos.

We had 4 kids, and there were 4 ingredients, including the mixture from the box (also, water, oil, and... I can't remember the other one). Anyway, each of the kids got to dump something into the bowl, then they took turns mixing. I rolled the dough on the table, and they took turns pressing cookie cutters into the dough. After the cookies baked, I gave them each about 3 or 4 cookies to decorate. Most of them got eaten before the playdate was over. It was a lot of fun, and the kids really got into the spirit of holiday baking!






The 2 kids that aren't mine are Henry and Gracie, our Thursday friends.
