The Eubanks: Unplugged: S1:E12

August 26, 2012

1. I haven't been keeping track of how many days it's been since I last had to clean poopy underwear. But if I had, I'd have to start over today.

2. Me: What's in your mouth?
  2yo: {opens mouth, shows me gum}.
Me: Where did you get gum?
2yo: Over there - {walks to trash can, opens trash can, points inside trash can}.

3. It's not surprising that most of my escapades revolve around my 2 year old.

4. Putting the 2yo to bed early because I can't handle any more of his naughtiness. 3yo comes in to the bedroom and the first words out of his mouth are "Mommy, I peeing!" He was peeing. In his pants. On the carpet. In his bedroom. I tried to rush him to the bathroom but it was too late.

5. We go downstairs to get some cleaning supplies, 3yo asks for milk. I tell him no milk. I turn around, and he's drinking milk out of a cup somebody left out from dinner. I tell him to to go the corner (ok, "tell" is an understatement - I was talking in all caps with lots of exclamation marks. I was still running on frustration from the peeing-on-the-carpet thing which had happened a mere 30 seconds earlier). He opens his mouth to cry, and a whole mouthful of milk spills down onto his naked body.

6. The bright side to all this is, both boys are in bed an hour earlier than usual. Too bad I'm out of wine, because I could really use a glass or four.

  1. It's incredible how I can relate to the feelings you're having, though I don't have the 2yo and 3yo to make me feel them! Haha! It's the domino effect, isn't it? Just ONE thing can't go wrong... it has to be several in a row, in rapid succession. I feel ya! Praying for you, hope your tomorrow improves (or at least someone drops a bottle of wine off at your doorstep!) XOXO
