Jaunary 22nd

Picture-A-Day:

We had a really great family day yesterday.
The morning was pretty laid back, everyone woke up, ate a leisurely breakfast.
Derrick and I went out for lunch while the kids were napping, Alyssa babysat.
We ate at Georges Gyros, which is definitely in my top 5 favorite restaurants in Elkhart.
Then we headed over to the Verizon store to get new phones!
Actually, we switched from T-Moblie because Derrick gets a discount at Verizon through his work.
We've never had any problems with T-Mobile. We've been with them for like 4 years, and probably wouldn't have switched if it weren't for the discount.
It is fun to get new toys.
I got a phone with wifi, so it can get online (anywhere there's wifi) without having to pay for a data plan, which is exactly what I was wishing for, but didn't think existed.  The phone is called Windows Kin, if you're interested in checking it out.  Verizon is not paying me to say that.  I wish they were.  But their customer service was wonderful at the store.
Anyway, when we got home everybody was starting to wake up, so we broke out Wii bowling and had a little family tournament.
It's been a long time since we've done that. Probably since last winter.
Fun as the Wii is, it just doesn't get as much use when the days are warm.
It was really a blast.
We got Colombo's Pizza for dinner (also in my top 5 favorite restaurants in Elkhart).
Watched "Did you hear about the Morgan's?" on Netflix.  Cute movie.  Predictable, but cute.
Derrick gave the boys haircuts.
And baths.
And then it was bed time.
And that completes a very fun, very full, family day.

  1. Ok - I know that I am not supposed to be focusing on this in the picture... but the caricature of you and Derrick on the wall is way cute and well done! :)

Also the wii is fun! I miss ours right now... but we sold it, b/c we never used it. We will probably get another one or some thing like it when the kids are older.

I am so glad you had a good day with Derrick home. I am sure EVERYONE was happy to see him!
